Can industrial liquid silicone be heated and solidified?
Industrial silicone is a condensation type silicone that can be cured normally at room temperature. If you need to speed up the curing speed, you can heat it within 50 degrees. Exceeding 50 degrees Celsius will reduce the service life of the finished mold.
Condensation silicone mold making operation steps
1. Clean the mold and fix it
2. Make a fixed frame for the mold and fill the gaps with a hot melt glue gun
3. Spray release agent on the mold to prevent adhesion.
4. Mix the silicone and curing agent thoroughly in a weight ratio of 100:2 and stir evenly (stir in one direction to prevent excessive air from entering)
5. Put the mixed silica gel into the vacuum box and exhaust the air
6. Pour the vacuumed silicone into the fixed frame
7. After waiting for 8 hours, after curing is completed, demould and take out the mold.
Precautions
1. The normal operating time of condensation silicone is 30 minutes and the curing time is 2 hours. It can be demoulded after 8 hours and cannot be heated.
2. The proportion of condensation silicone curing agent below 2% will prolong the curing time, and the proportion above 3% will accelerate the curing.
